What the WLC of Glencoe Can Do for You
Do you want to develop new friendships, enjoy yourself and contribute to the local community?
The Woman's Library Club of Glencoe invites you to join us. Founded in 1872, the WLC was organized for charitable, civic, and educational purposes. Membership is open to anyone who would like to do some good and have some fun.
WLC members exclusively staff the North Shore Exchange, a luxury resale shop located at 372 Hazel in Glencoe. Since opening its doors on March 5, 2013, the NSE has been able to give away $150,000. The NSE is continuing to grow through sales of donated and consigned clothing, jewelry, accessories and home furnishings. Our volunteers raise money for both established and start-up organizations.
We knit. We sew. We play cards. We read. We eat. We talk. We laugh. We visit the sick. We challenge ourselves to improve. We learn. We love. And we are always looking for more things to do.
As of 2016, our permanent home is now the new beautiful Writers Theatre building located on the site of our former home at 325 Tudor Court.
We would love to have you join us!
